Back to the original question , all tie rod end ball joints are the same , the difference would be the steering arm . There is no way the original ball joint fit one way and the turbo fit another way in the same arm unless one is / was upside down and improperly installed .

I can't say how the original fit, it was a worn stock rod.
I found this odd on a well prepped race car. I was just curious if there was another steering arm option. I measured the taper and it seems to be reverse.

Does anyone have one and possibly measure the taper?

Note sure if this will help, but towards the end of my video on rebuilding the front suspension on my 1967 912 you can see the steering arm and how it attaches to the tie rod end. Hope it helps!

    Thanks Brian
yes traditionally the arm enters from above as it has to match the taper of the arm. For some reason my arms taper is opposite. Or at least I think it is, does
anyone have an arms they can measure the taper on?
