    Thumbs up

    VERY cool David,

My old buddy Jeff Klein raced a couple of those in the late '80's into the early '90's ...
All with Pontiac engines... First with the old 'iron duke' 4, then the V6, and then the V8....

Yes I remember Jeff, I think he stepped in as a sub for my co-driver at a pit stop competition at Sears. His size helped for the driver change, pretty sure we won with like a 12.1 second time. Four wheels tank fill and driver change! Always a source of pride for Huffaker.
The Camel Lights that I drove only used the Pontiac 4 cylinder, my usual ride. The car in the photo was a full GTP with a Buick engine, which I only drove once at Portland with Dan Marvin.

Cheers Mark, Graphite Blue Metallic is quite a rare color on GT3s despite the fact it was standard one. According to information found on Rennlist, it appears that only 3% of the GT3 from that generation are Graphite Blue, most are Clay or Silver.
Still according to reenlist info, approx 2800 GT3 produced (991), 25% are touring package / 3% Graphite Blue - something like 20/25 Touring in Graphite Blue...(I think it may be more)

That is quite a machine indeed.

A fairly average car, not really a performer but there are occasions the 1.9TDI is impressive. Off the light - short gears - there's not much there, but low end torque of 3rd, especially 4th and 5th, pull you very well...right up to 70mph. It will handle and hustle around town better than my 928.
