Surprised Mecum didn't include a photo of the original owner, a classic "owned by a little old lady" story. Of course, when she bought it she was a young gal with sporty taste! Great color.

The car was on eBay not long ago with a Buy It Now of $96,500 which was wishful thinking. In light of condition and provenance though, $80K seems about right.

Arne, I wondered about the missing alloys, too... optional Mahles or Pedrinis would be preferable to the stock wheels.

I see this a lot with 80's cars like GTI's or CRX's, one will sell for big money on BAT and people start saying we need to all be on the lookout, except that the one that sold was a one in a million given the condition and miles, so while interesting it isn't the start of a wave.
