    More 2021 Concorso Italiano . . .

    . . .

'Nother Flamina Sport --- 'covered head-light' = earlier production (per comments above).

Subtle differences in side-glass, nose-/tail-light treatments, too. Must be a nightmare to restore

Looks pretty butch with the darker color + stripes

    More 2021 Concorso Italiano . . .

    . . . the Other Stuff

Iso Griffo --- small block (Chevy!), judging by the smooth hood . . . handsome rascal

Lancia Flavia --- not exactly their sveltest car, but what to make o' that engine bay, eh? . . . love their engineering, but terrified if anything goes boink!

Lancia Fulvia Sport 1.3 Zagato --- I'd buy this little morsel just for that Impressionist nameplating . . . + green velour upholstery. Cha-cha-cha

Lancia Delta Integrale --- 'HF' badge = Evoluzione (?) . . . street version of their famous rallye cars. Gorgeous paint. +30 years old, now

    More 2021 Concorso Italiano . . .

    . . . Lancia

Never seen/heard of/read-about anything like this

Upholstered from the firewall back --- w/ spot light on the roof

    Adjustable-rake 'shield

    Dual rear-mounts + fish-pipe exhaust

Inside wicker seats + Tiger maple . . . an check-out that shifter. Short throw or what?

    And whatta roof-line!

    K --- how cool is this? --- and, yeah . . .

. . . I wanna ride in that back seat

    Hell-yeah --- tail gunner!

= Why I go to car shows

    More 2021 Concorso Italiano . . .

    . . . more Lancia

Wish I knew more about these. Nice shape, this one --- the green one . . . looks like a 'driver,' too

I recognize the red one --- Lancia Montecarlo aka Scorpion. Rare car, here . . . absolutely notorious for rust + all sorts mechanical nonsense. 'Super-charged' = not stock?

    Rick
Lancia Betas of that time, including the Monte Carlos were available in "volumex" spec which was factory supercharging

their rally cars had both turbo charging AND supercharging with the supercharging to get rid of the then dreaded turbo lag

Hey, Hugh . . . never heard o' that one --- although 'volumex' sounds vaguely familiar. Guessing that's another one o' those things that weren't imported to the US so guessing this car must be a 'grey-market' import?

Our Betas were fwd . . . but Scorpions were rear. And not even sure the reg-spec verion of that car was 'officially' imported here, either. If they were? . . . woulda been a really small number. 'Nother car I only see at car shows

    Oh-yeah --- now, THAT car I remember . . . that's the 'compound-engined' 037 . . . more 'funny car' that Montecarlo . . . reminds me of Ferrari's 288 GTO

Always thought their Gr 5 car was just about the niftiest-looking thing on 4 wheels --- flairs, wings, cow-catcher . . . all with flames spitting out the back

    . . . Requisite Porsche Content . . .

    . . . looks to be another 'back-date'(?) in semi-period costume

    Tidy-enough, I suppose --- + going by that exhaust = prolly fast/furious . . .

. . . but I always wonder what the value of something like this is?

    More 2021 Cincorso Italiano

    Overall? --- + despite my WOW . . . I'd give the show a solid 'B'

Nowhere near as heavily-attended as in years past --- which I could attribute to COVID . . . so (like the weather) the whole mood was a bit 'off'

On the other hand --- given the financial throw-weight available here in Kleptifornina . . . never mind the Monterey Peninsula + environs . . . it seemed like a relatively modest number + variety of cars/owners/attendees deigned to show up

    Then/again --- I did bounce kiiiinda early

Or maybe I'm just spoiled? Haven't been to this show in 10-12 years . . .

. . . and the last one was one those blow-outs over at the Black Horse

Car show, car-schmow. Brats + brews + stogies at sunrise --- after spending the night in Santa Cruz (on the floor) . . . then getting in fo' free on a Buddy's press pass? Concorso coulda been at a recycling center and I woulda had a ball

    OMG! --- I think I just caught myself growing-up . . .

Anyway --- for $150? . . . you tell me if it was worth it
