    More 2021 Pebble Beach . . .

    . . . see what I mean? . . .

. . . although this color doesn't exactly do the car any favors --- especially the wheels

Like to see how anybody skootches across that padded sill w/o scuffing anything . . .

    . . . by going 'commando,' maybe

    More 2021 Pebble Beach . . .

    . . . another take on streamlining --- circa '37

I like this better than the Talbot. Super-clean lines, here, w/zero embellishment, steeply angled almost-wrap-around glass + spaghetti strap A-pillars, finishing-off with that sporty little kick-up of the back fenders make this look lighter/sexier than Figoni et Falaschi's take IMO

Compare this to the contemporary Germans

    More 2021 Pebble Beach . . .

. . . lotta car for just two people. 1928. Horn looks like something off a locomotive

Side-mounts kinda dull the sportiness, here, but I like these colors . . . and check-out the fender trims + those bumpsters!

    More 2021 Pebble Beach . . .

    . . . some kinda single-seater = race car. Naked, no card

    Front-wheel drive!

I'd 've guessed it was a Miller --- but the nose says Ford, and that sure looks like a flat-head, sooooo . . .

Interesting fuel tank + rear suspension

    More 2021 Pebble Beach . . .

    . . . ten years apart --- all built between '29 and '39

Notice how the youngest car --- the 540 . . . still has side-mount spares

Compare this to the Spezial Roadster --- w/no spare showing, at all

Even the Isotta-Fraschini has 'em stashed on the back

As for the Delahaye, weeeeeellll . . .

. . . ya prolly couldn't change a tire if you had to, so

    . . . More 2021 Pebble Beach

    . . . and the inevitable Ferraris

And for anyone who said glass-tops, two-tone paint-jobs, whitewalls, and tail fins never made it on a Ferrari . . .

Il loro assegno è stato cancellato? F@nculo --- perché no?

    More 2021 Pebble Beach . . .

    . . . more Ferraris

Tail fins + wheel spats? . . . and a Alfa Romeo-esque/Shoe-box? Can't say I haven't seen these bits before --- just not what I'd expect from something that came from Italy

Hey --- calm down . . . at least their not red, K

    More 2021 Pebble Beach . . .

    . . . requisite Porsche content

    (Yeah-yeah --- I know, I know . . . finally)

BIG collection of 917s on display

Always struck by how compact these things are. Seriously --- little more than knee high . . . + almost toy-like

If this were My Shew --- I'd make 'em all fire-up! . . . have 'em howl up to, like, 6k or 7k, please = prove they actually run/work as race cars

    Shiny/schminy --- let's make some noise . . . stink-up the place
