Everything needs to be period-correct, per homologation papers and not repro. NOS would be considered however.
Serious enquiry for this challenging but rewarding project.
Please PM me with full details including photos of date stamp and part no.

Ha! Yes that’s true, Clyde! Wasn’t planning to pay him a visit! I’m fully expecting this to be several years in the making! However I have heard that there are a lot of period-correct reproduction ST items available which are as good, if not better, than the originals, and at much lower cost. What do people think of Dansk panels for instance?

Please do not judge my car against Flunders, he had access to a wonderful stash of original parts that I did not (I would love to have had them though) his is 2.3 mine 2.5.
I baulked at $30k USD for a genuine 2.5 ST pump back in 2010!!!! or a genuine 2.5 ST engine for 100k Euro at Essen one year later. My whole build did not cost the sum of those 2 parts
but think we were very faithful to the original with alloy door skins and engine lid all correct strengthening and a host of repro correct parts like engine cartridge oil filter etc etc etc

No worries Clyde!
I found your thread and have posted my thoughts - it is a mightily impressive car you have there. As you say not everyone has access to a stash of original, genuine ST parts like Flunder did, and ultimately his is a hot-rod (an incredible one at that) and never set out to be a facsimile ST. I am pretty sure I am going to have to go down a similar route to you with high quality period-correct repro parts (no 3.2 bits or whatever). If you have are lucky enough to find a genuine '72 ST dumped in a shed somewhere (and I would imagine there are some that haven't been seen for 50 years - like the GeLo car for instance) needing full restoration, then you would be prepared to spend whatever it costs to do so - including / especially the engine). If however you are building a replica (because that is ultimately what it is - with a T chassis and a non 66xxxxx engine number), then who's to criticise if everything is period-correct and ends up looking like yours?! Like many others, I think what you've created there is fantastic!

Im building a 1972 T into a ST.
I have original fuchs, original ST front fenders and my rear fenders/bumpers, hood are from Anna Thom.
My 110L fuel tank is from FVD.
You can go with NOS parts, but you would be overspending unless you restoring an actual ST.
