Great post, thanks for taking the time to write this up. Exactly what I was after. My right leg/foot are actually near normal, so a Tiptronic is the obvious choice, but the vintage stuff is hard to get out of my system.

(And yeah, if a 914/6 Sporto comes up I’d buy it unless it was currently on fire…)

I know it's worlds apart, but when compared to a 964 tip, try a 987.2 Cayman, I prefer an S....or if you can find an R with PDK....the driving sensation is remarkably similar to a powerful/hotrodded longhand, very nimble, very balanced, very visceral....and VERY tossable.

when I do back-to-back drives with my '72 and my Cayman I am reminded of the lineage.....

    Interesting solution:

Depending on your situation, you may need to adapt the equipment to your needs, from just managing the clutch with a lever, or the accelerator and brake pedal with the additional circle of the steering wheel.

I can relate! About 12 years ago I had n ATV (quad) accident. Severe TBI (Traumtic Brain Injury) was the dignosis. I have a lack of coordination on my whole right side. That made using a clutch in conjuntion with a gas pedal a real challenge for me. I considered a sportmatic as well. It's not a question of leg strength to push the clutch in aa much as it is getting the left foot and right foot to work in unison.

My limitations have slowley gotten a bit better over time. People can scoff at it if they want to. It''s gonna happen here and there. A little philosophy that I try to live by.

"People that mind don't matter, and people that matter don't mind."

Being happy is where it all starts. If utilizing a Sporto makes you a happy camper, then go for it. Do you have any troulbles getting around?
