A few questions about original equipment /options...

    What was "comfort equipment"?
And the car shipped with S body trim and bumpers etc (from what I was told). Why would that not be listed? Or was somebody pulling my chain along the way?

S bumper was standard on 911E for 1973, so would not be listed as an option. "Comfort Equipment" is the S trim package. Current Porsche docs translate it as Comfort Equipment, but when the car was new it was sold as "Appearance Package". See attached description.

Since no wheel options were listed, your '73 E would have originally come with 15x6 ATS Cookie Cutters. The pictured 15x7 Fuchs were not factory offered back then.

    Nice car, by the way!

The wheels in the pic are off an 83 911SC, marked 7X16 if I recall correct.

Were ATS Cookie Cutters around in 1973?

Yes, in 15x6 only. They were the standard wheel for 911E in '73.

Interesting. Would that have been the case even with a "Comfort Equipment" / S trim package?

Yes. The Appearance/Comfort package did not include wheels in '72 or '73.
