    Tourer is usually defined as a four door.
    That's what I saw in the M1 and M635, both two door street/race cars that can also be used for touring.
    How do you know I am an Ozzie mate?

    Some years back I had a 83 533i. Like my Porsche, I started looking for parts to improve it's performance. So I bought a crashed 1985 M635 grey market car. I swapped out the drive train, put on 1988 M5 front brakes, 540i rear brakes, etc, etc. It was a fun little sleeper.
