    Wire Question ?

    ftorchia.aia@gmail.comGuys
Been reviewing the 70 & 71 factory wire diagram .
There is a solid black that comes from the turn signal switch /wires .
It shows on the 70 & probably before but on the 71 version it’s not on the diagram ?
Anyone with 71 or look below to see what happens to this wire ?

In the '72 diagram that I have, the 53c solid black wire is shown on the second part of the diagram. Unit 30 is simply divided between two pages.

My notes from my '70 build show the black wire on the T/S switch is the feed to the washer pump and connects to the wiper washer switch.

Thanks for followup…..Tom the factory wire diagrams also suggest the same coming form 53c to a connection then to the wiper motor, but there are no loose wires coming from the wiper switch all in casing to end plug ?
Anyone have an opportunity to look under dash
    Thanks guys

What is the problem you're having? And which car is having the problem?

My 71 …installing electrical items after restoration.
    New harnesses etc.
There is a single black wire from turn signal unit/wires and don’t see any available connections for the wiper switch.
The wire diagram shows a single pole connector for that wire that then goes to wiper motor .
The photo shows the black wire

My original answer to this does not help for a '71 car. The 1970 wiper system in one year only. That wiper switch has a black wire that connects to the black wire from the T/S switch. The '69, '71-'73 wiper switch does not have the black wire.

Think at some point the wiper switch may have been changed so maybe it’s a later version.
Will go to the wire at end connection to the wiper motor and probe the contacts on the body plug to see if I get a contact .
If so then this wire is not used .
    Thanks again
