This part looks quite easy to make. Could you post more pictures of it? I can make the drawing if you want, and point you somewhere...

    PM if you want.

    Bob,

I rebuilt the rack on a 71 and could not get a replacement delrin bushing. I ended up ordering the one that fits on the earlier racks and machining a new part that holds the replacement delrin bushing.

Thanks to everyone who replied to this Thread. Bought Part #SMC.347.929.00 from Sierra Madre and it worked! It is listed as a 65-67 part, but fits on my 69. It was maybe 1 MM smaller diameter than the original part, but that wont make any difference. The new part snaps onto the metal puck.

I wasted a full afternoon trying to figure out how to get the rack out this weekend. Same problem as you. Still haven’t succeeded. How did you finally got it out of there? I tried rotating or lifting it a little in every direction. How can I remove the carrier before the rack if it goes through it? And thanks for the advice on the plastic puck, mine was broken the same way

    jp27,
See post 4 above, the whole carrier comes out the bottom allowing the removal of the rack.
