Where are all these 911L now ? Here are some stats

Massimo is a source of inspiration, and even more as I am now starting to duplicate is work , not for the 2.4S but for the (beloved) 911L.
As you may know, I am fond of the L model, and have a great privilege to own one.

I would kindly ask you to provide me any details via PM or using xavierpjb at iCloud dot com.
Do not need exact location, but country is enough. Would also expect color, manufacturing month/year, factory equipments if known and any of the cool details you are willing to share about.

The plan is to create, as Massimo did, some kinda report which I will be updating in post #1

    Hope this resonate to you.

TO CLARIFY : I AM NOT USING THE SREG DATABASE AT ALL.

    Cheers
    Xavier

Javier - Great idea! I’ll kick it off with my US-delivered 1968 911 L. Here is the Kardex as well as the COA from Porsche showing all the key data and options. Production date was Feb 13, 1968. The car was imported by Porsche Cars Southeast in Jacksonville, FL and the dealer who first serviced it was Orange Motors of Miami. “Chester” has been in my family since 1972 and owned by me since 1992, and he currently resides in Glencoe, Illinois. Happy to provide any additional details you plan to collect for this, and hope we can collect info on as many of the original L’s out there as possible!

Pretty cool, Mr. Diel was assigned to a ship (USNS Redstone) that was used for tracking rocket launches / flights (out of Cape Canaveral) during the US Apollo space program that culminated with the lunar landing.

Now have 105 911L in my file, most of them coming from a fellow member here whom has kindly share part of his database (NOT THE SREG ONE).
    Thank you, Sir, very much.
I will shortly start to post the reports.
These are the fields I may collect but I only publish the color and country only, rest is for my own records (as I am fond of Ls)

Thanks for doing this. Here's my contribution. 11860141 is a European 911L Targa first delivered in Germany with a ski rack. It was imported to the US and spent time in California, Ohio and Indiana before I brought it to Louisville, Kentucky. It had an identity crisis with a prior owner when it underwent a color change from Blood Orange to Black and received other updates. I'm slowly taking it back to original condition.

Here are pictures as it now stands along with one of me and my co-driver from a few years ago.
