    FS: Rare Vintage Scheel Seat

For sale is my rare original restored Scheel seat (one only). I was going to install this in my 68 Targa but I have gone in a different direction for the look I want. $2850 Price includes shipping to the US only (Paypal fee extra). This seat still has its original padding as I didn't want to deviate from its original shape (nothing worse than an overstuffed/over padded seat). The black smooth vinyl is as close as possible to the original including the grain etc.
I decided to replace the original cord which is still available should you wish to bring it back to its original design. This also comes with the original and period correct uncut Scheel seat rails still wearing its original paint. I am also happy to 'throw-in' for free, an original vintage Scheel tilt/locking seat base which you can easily modify to fit your Porsche (but you must pay for shipping on this one). More photos available to anyone interested. Thank you to the owners of the original photos used here. This seat is absolutely comfortable and would be perfect for racing etc. given the nice overall and firm support it provides. Other than losing weight, this is ready to install and enjoy

Per the advertisement, is this a 300 model? For some reason, looks very narrow to me; would you say waist size 34 is maximum?

    Nice seat Al,
I hope the quake left you unscathed and all is good.
Definitely a 300 and YES they are on the narrow side.(unsure if there was ever a 'BUM' width choice)

Thanks for your concern Mark, despite being on our 236th day of lockdown in Victoria, Australia and proposed to end on October 27th (if we're lucky) and continue to hold the title of 'Lockdown Capital of the World'...everything is okay. Cruisingkali, yes, 34 is the right number. Cheers Guys.

Are the seats on the 3rd picture the same as the model on the first? The seat offered seems to have more shoulder flares?

Yes, you're right I think. Mine has the bigger flares. A bit difficult to confirm due to the angle..

For what it’s worth, I’ve got one of these in my car. At my slimmest I’m a 35, but more typically I’m a 36. It’s snug but very comfortable.

Yes, I've always lived by the mantra of 'Health is Wealth' and consequently have stayed at 32 despite being in my early 50's. I had a 34 friend sit in it and he still found it quite comfortable. I love this Scheel but it's too racy looking as I discovered, in my classic Targa. THANKS FOR THE OFFERS BUT SALE HAS BEEN WITHDRAWN...USING IT INSTEAD
