'. . . This 1970 Porsche 911T Coupe was purchased new on November 8, 1970 by a Mr. Buchanan out of Glencoe, Illinois and was sold to a Mr. Graham of San Diego, California in 1975. The seller acquired the car from the second owner’s family in April 2012 and has since performed a cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment that included a repaint in the original Silver Metallic as well refreshment of the chassis, interior, brakes, suspension, and steering system. The numbers-matching 2.2L flat-six was rebuilt with Mahle pistons and cylinders, upgraded camshafts, and oil fed tensioners. The 901 5-speed manual transaxle was also rebuilt and a new clutch was installed less than 1k miles ago. This 911 is now being offered for sale at no reserve with a Porsche CoA, original manuals, service records, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.
A repaint in the original Silver Metallic (80) was commissioned by the seller approximately five years ago. A later-model engine latch panel was reportedly installed under previous ownership. The car retains US-spec rear bumperettes, and Euro H4 headlights and rear gold lettering have been added.
The car rides lower than stock on a set of factory date-coded 15×6” Fuchs alloys wrapped in newer Pirelli CN36 tires. A spare, original toolkit, and jack are included in the sale.
Recaro sport seats were reupholstered in black leatherette with wool houndstooth inserts. A replacement dashboard was installed, along with NOS door pockets, and German velour carpeting. A factory leather-rimmed four-spoke steering wheel and Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio are retained. The 5-digit odometer shows under 8k miles, with actual mileage unknown.
The 2.2L flat-six was rebuilt with Mahle pistons, upgraded camshafts, oil fed tensioners, piston squirters, and an oil bypass modification. Peak output is quoted at the rear wheels as 149 horsepower at 5,500 rpm according to the dyno sheet provided in the gallery.
