REPA webbing question and rear reel cover panels

Hi All. I have a question for the Forum as my knowledge is . I've been fixing up a few details on what was my father's Italian 1970 911S.

In 1970 seat belts were just an option in Italy and this car was ordered without seat belts. It was later retrofitted when in mid 80s (if I remember right) seat belts became required with just front ones that I believe are Autoflug. Wanting to install period correct belts I've gathered in the past several years bits and pieces to almost complete a front and rear set of Repa belts, but I came across different topics started from Stretch where he points out the difference between the solid blacks (that I am assuming for the US market) and the black with the orange tracing for the European market.

What kind of webbing is correct for the Italian vehicles? Solid black or the other?

Also I found out that the retractable belts were also avaialable. Were the rear panels that cover the reels available in 1970 or only later on (like 1972 and up)?

Thanks to whomever will be able to shed some light.

    Hi Alex,

any Euro car that had belts installed at the factory would have had the Orange tracer. As you say, belts were an option in some countries.

The covers on the 70 cars were the standard one's and reels were surface mounted like on the Targa cars.

    Hi Dave,
Thank you for the clarification!! Interesting that they left the reels exposed back then.
