    2021 Phoenix Show . . .

. . . last one, too --- at this venue, anyway

    https://www.early911sregistry.org/fo...am-3-00-pm-PDT

Show 's usually in the Spring --- but not complaining . . . even though attendance seemed noticeably lighter. (No Lit Show traffic?) Anyway, weather was cool/overcast, mild temps . . .

Not as early a start as usual --- but coulda parked a few feet from the entrance, if I'd bothered to look. Whatever

    Meanwhile --- in the parking lot . . .

Carrera 2 . . . looks to be a Real One? --- wearing recent plates

    And a 996 GT2 . . . Miami Vice Edition, looks like

I know the owner. I believe it’s a 50’s Chrysler green but looks sharp and correct on the car.

    More 2021 Phoenix Show . . .

    . . . super-tidy Speedie . . .

    . . . a beautiful car --- even looks like a proper early shade o' blue, too . . .

    . . . but/still --- slightly horrified to see such a rare car . . . 're-imagined'

Trim shaved, engine cover louvered, Porsche crest glued to the dash --- + enough o' those #$%@& Technomagnesios, already! . . . = 'gads

Can only imagine what's under that 'hood . . .

. . . which is kinda the theme, these days --- at all these shows

Everybody loves a hot rod, huh? (See Luftgekühlt)

I know-I know --- builds interest, builds an audience, builds the Brand, blah-blah-blah. Can't argue with that, considering the demographic on display, here. (I overheard at least four conversations that included the word 'cancer')

This is The Way it Goes. And I've become my Grampa

Still --- kinda sad when it seems the best OG cars at this show? . . . are still in the parking lot

Wonder what a paint meter on this little morsel would reveal
