    Searching the holy grale

    Hi guys,

I am working on my 68s and I have the problem that my hazard flash relay is damaged. I would like to ask, if anyone can help with a used one. I don’t want to rebuild it with new components. Thank you.

The turn signal flasher went bad on my 69 and I too couldn’t find an OEM looking replacement. I bought one of the solid state cube shaped ones. I took the guts out of the old one, cut a piece of PVC pipe to use as a spacer and stuffed the cube inside the old cylinder. Fit perfect and you can’t tell it’s not the original. Very easy to do.

I've done the same internal replacement several times on various relays. It actually is quite easy and undetectable. Save yourself much agita by testing your replacement relay to assure that it works with your wiring before installing it in the old canister.

I love the way this community encourages good old fashioned New England ingenuity. Being from Vermont I think I may have a bit of that. I use it a lot on computers. I've discovered that there is almost always a way to get something done.

    Cheers,
