    Recently read that crystal may be a hard or 'soft' type for vintage. A Lecoultre that sits in a drawer was well scratched. I considered that it might benefit from : 600 sandpaper/water, which took out heavier nicks but clouded everything over...followed with 1200, 1500, 2500, and 7000.

    Last a car polish on 3" drill pad. It is absolutely like new vs. previous condition :
