    1972-73 Recaro Sport Seats

Hi, just a general question around double-locking base for 1973. Will the 1972 & 1973 sport seats, with exception to the base, be identical or is there a discernible difference between the the two?
Also, can I swap out a seat base from a factory comfort seat with that of a sport seat?

    Thanks

72/73 sport seats themselves are identical. As you've mentioned, the consoles changed slightly over the course of '72-73 with the introduction of the changes from single locker to two locker. Any factory 69-73 sport seat will mount with any factory 69-73 sport seat console.

The answer to your second question is 'No'.

Nearly nothing to add, perhaps one thing, take care - in case you are looking for sport seats - that you get factory seats. In the early 70th, aftermarket seats, BMW seats, a.s.o. were sold a lot and now offered as suitable Porsche seats. They will fit but their look is much fatter as factory delivered seats.

    Michael - but another one

Did I mention that I have a set of '72 sport seats for sale?

Did I mention they are single locker console with the capability of being a double locker?

Can someone identify exactly what year these seats are? They are in 100% original condition I believe.......black vinyl/wide cord. Here are some pics, tell me if something is not original. I will be selling these and want to know if I can just slide these out and replace with standard seats?.......or are the bases on the floor & tunnel part of these?

Acoupe -- 8 Allen screws, and you can pick the seat right up and remove. You can bolt non-sport seats right in with ease using the same allen screws.
