    Air control box clips 1969

Does anyone happen to have the part number or a source for the spring clips that hold the air control box to the wedge shaped flange that is “underneath” it? I did a little looking at BelMetric, but nothing I saw there seemed to fit the bill.

I have scoured the world. These 1969 clips seem to have never had an independent part number, and I finally gave up trying to find one used (“I know I had one once, but it doesn’t seem to be here anymore”).

Are you referring to the "C" shaped clips? Part number: 901-571-921-00
I bought some from Stoddard (https://www.stoddard.com/90157192100.html.html) and while they were close in size, they were far too thin and flexible, and did not have the correct holding strength. And at over $2 each .... don't bother. Maybe other suppliers quality is better, though I can't say.

They did not do the job and I went with modern "E" clips and single wire hose clamp clips as they have enough pressure to hold but not so much as the original C clips, which I found difficult to put on without breaking the fragile plastic nubs off the blower parts.

Looking for that bottom clip. Looks like “single wire hose clip” brings up the right item, and should work well. Thank you.

aha! This one. These were available at my local hardware store, or many online places. Sorry I don't recall the size.

Hi - I'm trying to remove the air control face place and controls from my dash to restore it, and to access the cable ends so that I can lube the cables and wire housings. I have that single bolt removed .. the one in the back underneath which secures the control to the body.

How do I remove the face place framing? Is there a clip in the back? I don't want to damage anything and going slow and patiently.

    I also have a 1969! Mine's an E Targa.
