    New windshield seal prep

I purchased a Porsche front windshield seal for my '71 coupe recently. Is there anything I should do to the seal eg. cleaning, or treating the rubber
    before installing? Advice is welcome.
    Thanks,

    Rich

All I ever do is give them a good wipe down with a light solvent to make the grey go away. Oher than that, they're plug and play.

I wipe them down with wax and grease remover like LivefromNY said. I do that with most all the new seals I get from Porsche.
