    Recaro tilting base identification

    Hello All,

While restoring my 74 carrera I went back back from sport seats to 74 correct comfort (per Kardex).
I do have these tilting base and they are marked 74 Rallyeseats or 77 Idealsitz.
My question is, and I know there are Recaro expertson Early forum, are these identical to pre-73 bases and would they fit in my 71 ?
Thanks in advance for your expertise.

    Cheers

hello bruno, yes they fit perfectly in your 71 car. are essentially identical to those previously manufactured by Recaro. From the end of 1973, recaro also offered bases for the g models (i.e. 911 from summer 1973) but of course they didn't fit the early 911. you have to be careful, because these have been provided with stickers by recaro that include "911 T / E / S". I have several such bases here in case someone is looking for something for the years of construction after 1973. your rails are also late models so from around 1974. hope i could help a little.

    regards uwe
