    well, here's the ugly part. still waiting for the body guy to come in and take a look. Maybe I replace the whole front suspension pan. Whoever did this sure made a mess. The new part that was welded in was probably 3 mm lower than the left side, and you saw what the welding looked like. They relied on the under cote to seal everything up. Plus, the new part that was welded in was all bent up. The mounting holes for the a-arm were at 15 degrees, and the forward hole for the shield was bent into the body. If you look closely, you can see all the bends on the three mounting holes.
    There is some rust inside the cavities, but not terrible.Can anyone tell me what the proper sequence for treating the cavities is. Do I first treat them with a rust neutralizer, then a cavity wax?

    I suggest replacing the front pans .
    All these components work as a composite unit and must be structurally sound.
    Your photo shows inner rust and the previous patch seems to have been done due to rust.
    Very weak situation.
