FS: Fog light and Horn relays

    Wired folks,

Tested Yellow Fog light relay, normally closed and black Horn relay, normally open. $125 each shipped in U.S. Please ask any questions and thanks for looking.

    Wired folks,

I've been asked by a list member who has several of these if there is an easy way to test them. Presumably, he'll check his out and undersell me. Yes, apply 12 volts from a car battery to the pair of terminals on the end of the relay (applies to these two relays, no other configurations) If you hear a click that is a good sign. Now connect an ohm meter to the other separated set of terminals. For the NC, normally closed relays, the ohm meter should show a short or beep; apply 12 volts to this relay and the beep will stop. For the NO, normally open, relay connect the ohm meter in a similar fashion. For this one when you apply the 12 volts the contacts in the relay will close and you'll hear a beep or see a short (low resistance) on the ohm meter. Good luck.

Thanks you for the technical tips Allen. What years would these have been from-to? I am reinstating both horns and fog lights and I suspect mine are later aftermarket.
    Regards
    Charles
