    Heat Exchangers questions …1971

    Just two questions….

Installing the heat exchangers. It doesn’t look like the PET manual calls for any washers under the Nuts that attach the exchangers to the exhaust studs ?

Just also wanted to also confirm that no sealant should be used ?

Yes, washers under nut aren't required, it's a really tight space so it better to have a good drag on the nuts. Also consider that thermal stress on washers can reduce tightening between surfaces leading the exhaust leaks. I suggest to only use 12 bolts.

If I remember well PET report a mounting paste ... it's not a *must* but it should be a lube paste to be placed between screws and bolds to prevent stucking
