Really cool badge. If I were in the gruppe I would get it. Do they no longer make these? Are members given these?

I'd buy it if I had a Black Audi wagon to put it on.

Wonder why a RG member would give away his/her badge, a brotherhood is for lifetime, right ?
I appreciate the fact that a badge is not the only link to, but it is unique per member I rekon.

    No criticism here.

Trying to better understand the logic behind.

I was alerted to this thread by the guy who bought the badge. Don't worry, he's an actual R Gruppe member, and a long time one at that.

It makes me sad to see this kind of thing going on. Yes, these badges are very special to us and, no, they are not simply given to us. It makes me sad that a former member would think so little of it as to sell it on eBay.

Like any other club, members do come and go. Interests change, folks sell their cars, or whatever. I would hope that anyone who has spent time with us in the club would hang onto their memorabilia, but, well, maybe that's just me.

Early on, we did seem to attract the kind of people that only wanted the window sticker and the badge. No real commitment to the club, just using it to help leverage the sale of their car or something like that. No feelings of camaraderie or brotherhood or anything at all like that. Well, goodbye and good riddance. And, well, due to the kind of behavior we see exhibited by former member #225, we have become much, much more aware that there are "those" kinds of folks out there, and have become far more careful with our memberships.

As an aside, I simply cannot understand why anyone who is not a member would even want one of our badges. I am glad to see that, at the end of the day, though, this particular badge has gone to a "good home" in its rightful place back in the club.
