    Rare Fuchs 911R set. 7R rear and deep 6 front 1970

    Hi All,

    Up for sale is an ideal set for a preferably early 911R from 1970. The set is carefully restored by in my opinion the best restorer in Germany at the moment. Mr Gebhardt.

    The wheels were restored exactly like original. With the anodized silver (mat on the sides and more shiny on the blades). Before the restoration the wheels were allready straight. No dents, cracks or welds.

    The set consist of 2x 7R 15 inch wheels, number 90136101205 and 2x 6x15 inch wheels, number 90136101206. The 7R wheels were stamped with ink number markings. On one wheel the markings are still slightly visible. The other wheel has no number on it because the ink faded away.

    The manufacturing dates are: 1/70 (both 7R wheels) and 1/70 and 4/70 the deep six wheels.

    In my opinion… the ideal set for a restored 911R I have not seen a better restored set in many many years.

    Upon request some additional pictures made by daylight. The anodized aluminium is ‘mat’ on the sides and more shiny on the flat surface bed.

    Hi George,

    The wheels are 52 years old and yes they were used for many years. That’s why they were restored and balanced in the best way. No cracks welds or other problems. The restorer can confirm the good state of the wheels before restoration if desired.

    The stamping those days was not very accurate. I have seen many 7R wheels with different type of markings. The 6j15 marking was probably standard marking those days and they corrected the 6 with a 7. The wheels are clearly 7 and not 6 wheels.

    If anybody has a different opinion let us know. The forum is not only to sell stuff but to gather knowledge also.

    The 7R wheels weigh 5341 and 5387 grams which is I believe the correct weight. And upon request some extra pictures from the innerside.
