    EASY R-Gruppe and water pumpers😡

    After years of attending the R-Gruppe meetings at Easy IÂ’m seeing more and more modern non air cooled
    Porsches...I had thought this was a strictly air cooled R-Gruppe event??

    When I attend I canÂ’t even get a parking spot on the main street in front of EASY, I have to park two blocks away. And when I walk up to EASY I see a bunch of modern water cooled Porsches. WTF! Who allows these guys to park there??? I donÂ’t care if they are R-Gruppe members!

    Just because a water pumper driver is a R-Gruppe member I donÂ’t think it gives him a right to park on the main Street.

    Someone put end to this!


    If you want to “show off” your water pumper take to a PCA event!

    Well, EASY is no longer owned by Jim so, there's no one I know of that is dictating who gets to park there/where, RGRUPPER, water pumper, air cooled, VW or otherwise.... Maybe arrive earlier?

    Like it or not the water pumpers are slowly taking over, and the electric. I recently attended the Boardwalk Reunion in New Jersey, mostly water cars, a few air cooled, but only a few. It's a great event so I'm hoping to beat the bushes and get more air cooled cars next year, but the water/electric is the wave of the future.

    I've been restoring and driving vintage Porsche cars for many years and thoroughly enjoy it. One day about a year or so ago, it occurred to me -- I'm an old man driving old cars. Time to feel young again. A modern Porsche will do that to you!

    At least water-pumpers are still burning fossil fuel and making noise....we should be grateful for their presence wherever they are.
