FS: Restored Set of Porsche 170mm Cibié Bi-Iodes

    SORRY - BOTH SETS SOLD

I just acquired two sets of good cores that I will be restoring. These are the bitchin' ones used by Porsche on some of the early performance cars. I expect it to take 4-6 weeks but I'm posting this now because there are so many folks interested in these and they're verging on unobtainium.

These are bright. I use the latest technology Tungsram (GE) Megalight Ultra +120 bulbs from Hungary recommended as the very best H1 bulbs by Daniel Stern, friend and Audette Collection advisor. Interestingly there are bulbs with larger pluses but it's not that simple in assessing illumination. Here's a detailed analysis by Daniel if you can take it. (Hint: it has a lot to do with the blue coating on the bulb).

The Cibié's are listed at the AC SHOP. There are also many more pictures there.

Price is $3,200.00. Click to Buy or for more information. You have a choice of paying a 50% deposit now with the balance due at completion or paying the full amount now. Shipping is free.

That's the best I can do based on the acquisition cost of the cores and the expense of the three step replating process.

    Cheers,
    John
