    too much info.
Now what's correct and what's original and what's period correct?
I see a recovered 300 Racing with welded Frankenstein brackets the sliders seem to be original and unmolested according to the description.
Ok the basketweave might be the proper grain (can't see on the pic)

Original Scheel 300 Seat Recovered with correct slightly grained smooth vinyl and Porsche repro 'basketweave'
Original padding under new vinyl (unaltered)
Original to the seat Scheel correct unmolested Seat Rails
Original to the seat Scheel tilt bracket modified to fit Porsche (only the lower flat bars were added) hardly a Frankenstein.

Thanks for trying to sabotage my ad but I hope this clarifies everything for you...are you still angry because you tried to rip me off once when I was still a 'seat novice' and it didn't work? I still have the emails so don't even try and deny it. I do thank you and especially Uwe (Recarno) for the education since then; and no, I will never be a seat or Porsche expert like you guys.

    Hi Al,

Can we get some pictures of the bottom of the seat? I would like to see the condition of the fiberglass shell.
Also, it is my understanding that the original Scheel 300 race seat did not have any adjustments. What is the round black hand dial on the side for?

    Best,
    Ravi

Hello Ravi, this is not the fibreglass version, this has the steel frame. Yes, this also the adjustable version and barely at that. Cheers.

The hand dial turns an eccentric tube for lower lumbar adjustment. The 101 had these as well,, pretty much USELESS
