Thread: Pedal cluster

    Pedal cluster

I just finished rebuilding a pedal cluster and realized there was no mount for the brake light switch. This type of cluster is for cars that have the brake light switch on the master cylinder. What years had the brake light switch on the master,? can’t remember seeing one for a long time.

That cluster base is for the later 911 with boosted brakes. I think ‘77 and later.

I agree. A closer look at the base indicates it is for an early car.

    More pedal question

    More pedal question.
Someone brought me this later pedal cluster To put in their 73. It has the helper spring and the straight lever for the clutch cable. Any reason it won’t fit properly.

This is one difference between the straight and bent arm.
Don't know if it makes any difference other than the cable attaches at a different place.

There are 4 different dimensional versions that I’m aware of.
Rick. If it’s for the RS it had a booster spring.

The pedal cluster in #6 is for clutch with Omega helper spring. Check center line distance between cross shaft axle and cable hole in the two cross shafts as I think there is a difference.

Good info guys. Not for the RS, another 73. But...on the RS was the cluster with the screw on clutch pedal or flat bar type.
