Ive read that thread. Lars had a 68 and had to cut into the inner quarter panel to run one of the hard lines. I’m really curious to know how Porsche did it on their 67R.
A part isn't purchased until paid.

Mark the only other place I've seen detailed R info is on this site in the 'ultimate R' thread understand should the thermostat be located inside the engine comp at minimum you have two lines entering and exiting the wheel well ..

The R had all heater tubes removed (well they were never installed I should say). The pictures show where the supply line is installed. A 180* Argus soft line is used to take oil from the aft end of the tube to the racing filter console on the engine. Under the tank is another 180* hard line that pulls oil from the tank up to another Argus line that connects to the tube entering the body.

The thermostat is in the engine compartment along with the secondary oil filter console. Soft lines from that gear transits the fender well to the tank cold oil retrun and the hard lines through the rocker.

The R used all stainless steel hard lines throughout the car.

I assumed that you were looking for the slight diagonal transition on the back where the tank starts to taper down so I took a second photo with oblique lighting to try to highlight it.

    Thank you.

    John / Fubawu:
I weighed three bare, empty SWB oil tanks today. They weighed between 7.8 and 8.0 pounds.

Thanks for the in-progress hard oil line photographs. That's a beautiful installation!

Counting 14 individual parts, just for the exterior, without the baffles and internals.
Among them 5 machined parts (at least)
    The welds quality (rounded seams).

It's just incredible, and a bargain at that price!

    Jim, you're the best!

Thanks to everyone for the encouraging words. I'm always trying to supply orphan parts to enthusiasts.
