Notice how the style of numbers are different. They were likely supplied with the prefix done, and stamped the rest by hand when they were riveted to the car.

On the topic of A-pillar VIN plate, one thing that I am trying to validate is the color of the rivets for MY71. Should it be raw aluminum colored or black colored?

    Best,
    Ravi

Aase and Carbone are the only two vendors I know who sell and stamp the VIN plates.

Perhaps CARBONE, but in checking with AASE on this same topic less than a week ago, they do NOT have a stamping service...just engraving and I'm not sure we want our VIN tags looking like an engraved bowling trophy. I spoke to Bryce at AASE if you want to confirm what I was told.
