    Cool W: 1966 911 solid project

    Hi,

    Im looking for a 1966 911 -- either a unrestored driver/survivor or small project.

I plan to do a mechanical restoration, (as needed), chassis improvements, and drivetrain build for a SWB canyon driver for my personal use.

I've got a quite a bit of experience working on LWB 911s, but want to add a SWB to my collection (prefer 66 SWB for stylistic characteristics [wood dash, 911 script, green gauge, swb thin side bumper trim, front quarter windows]). Paint quality is not super important, but having no rust is.

    - solid body and rust free
    - no major body modifications (chassis improvements are fine)
    - preferred old paint (or original) vs a fresh paint as this car will be driven often and hard
    - preferred aluminum crankcase (numbers matching not important)
    - black interior preferred
    - US based for ease of personal inspection (preferred on West Coast)
    - must be a complete and assembled "roller" or runner (or already assembled driver could be fine too)
    - I'd be open to assembly (but don't want to hunt for parts), but prefer assembled driver or survivor needing mechanical restoration of sorts

As far as colors go, no browns or reds; preferring blues, greens, or rare shades.

    Must not have:
    - structural damage
    - rust

Trades (+/- cash) considered for my Light Yellow 1973 911 T 2.4 MFI.

    Please contact me via DM.

    Thanks!

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.
