    Recaro Sport S Seats Restored

    Hi All,

The perfect christmas present for us all. For sale: an original recaro 68 model sport seat set. The set will fit in every 1965 till 1973 model 911 or 912. The set is very complete. It includes two seats with the D shaped headrests, the original recaro sliders (very hard to find) and the even more rare original tilting frames.

This is one of the very desirable options one had to choose from those days. Both seats have driver side recliner set up which was normal those days. In 1971 recaro changed to driver and passenger seat set up with much heavier tilting frames. This set is fairly light and in my opinion more favourable.

The seats were professionally restored with leatherette perforated bolsters and basket weave pattern cushions. The restorer copied the seats exactly from an original example. The only difference I can discern is the cleaner fabric but pattern and texture are very very comparable. The last picture is example of a original basket weave pattern compared to the new one.

The set has all original recaro knobs. The seat are very comfortable with good fit. Much better compared to the standard seats.

The seats are installed in my own 911 project. Unfortunately I need to sell them to pay the engine overhaul.

The seats are expensive because they are ready for use and complete. Asking price: 6900 euro.

PS additional pictures on request. And recaro police: let me know your opinion I think above is all correct but I can always adjust it when necessary.98B4CA72-A0AF-4457-A979-AEC0F3B64892.jpg5C2C6BB5-1BD7-41CF-A4A7-E953A90CC360.jpg53C31EA4-8633-4608-9006-620983F20440.jpg5328A5F0-55A5-4050-B8D0-DC669F94C765.jpgA3EC095A-BBE4-4ECA-9FAE-EA119FAF807C.jpg9470E32D-0144-4F7F-ACB6-272300EBEBE6.jpg244FBA85-C4C0-47E8-B4DA-912D597A3128.jpg710C1E8E-5C57-4155-9568-F09502153752.jpg616F791F-E350-4EAD-BB45-8F16DE2B02B4.jpg5E104553-D5AE-4880-A954-C5E736DA83E1.jpg

Those are a beautiful set of Recaro sport seats.
These sport seats including the mounting hardware (sliders and tilt frames) are becoming harder and harder to find.

    GLWS!

    Best,
    Ravi

    Hi All,

Some extra pictures of the tilting frames. I have chosen not to powder coat these because I prefer the patine / superficial rusty look. You can powder coat the frames and recliners easily if you wish.

Shipping might not be that bad since these are the lighter consoles.

Very nice seats. Who did the restoration? Particularly the perforated vinyl looks like gen. Is it possible to get the vinyl separately?
    Thank you

    Hi Philip,

The fabric is not for sale separately. I have a very reliable contact in Germany who can restore your seats in the same way. If interested let me know
