    installing ST rear flares question

    im installing rear ST flares on my 1972T.

    Previous owner had SC rear flares on the car.

    We installed the driver side flare and looks great. wheel in nicely centered.
    the passenger side is different story. The wheel dosnt sit center? So we didnt weld the flare in place until we figure this out.

    The car has never been in a collision.
    It has newer carrera banana arms.
    The suspension and spring plates are aftermarket and currently very old.

    Would the wheel track be off slightly due to bad bushings or spring plate adjstabilty?

    Measure the good side then measure the other side and see where the measurements differ. You need to figure out if it's the chassis or the suspension. Maybe the car hasn't been in a collision but the newer trailing arms have. You won't know until you measure and compare.

    Hmmm ...

    - How far off is the ride side center line ?

    - And, just taking a flyer here ..... Could it be you have two driver's side (left) flares?

    So your MY72 had its rear guards replaced with SC flares and now your fitting ST arches.
    Who supplied the new ST flares?

    The problem we have is that one flare is 24" wide and the other flare is 25.5" wide?

    another issue i have is the fender is not extending enough to cover the tire.

    my 1972 currently has 1985+ carrera bananna arms. (would they be wider then stock 1972 bananna arms therefore i need to install stock 1972 bananna arms?)
