    Wiper motor challenges (speed)

Have been playing with my electrical system over the holidays to ensure all system as working after restoration. Everything works with the exception of the wiper motor.

Issues I am having is that I only have one speed. In addition, it appears that the motor gets warm quite quickly. Can still touch it but it is over 90 degrees after operating it for 2-3 minutes. Reading Gradys excellent post on the '69 system found here http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...-question.html it appears that the motor has two windings in parallel with the second winding being used the "retard" the main winding. I am a real idiot when it comes to electrics. Anybody have any pointers where to begin my trouble shooting?

    TIA,

    JK

Assuming the wires are installed correctly, just send the motor out for rebuild .
I used a place in North Carolina, let me know if you need info.
Had them rebuild both my 70 & 71, quick turn around.
BTW what year ? I know 70 had a different setup & relay for an intermittent position
