    Welcome to the brotherhood, Cracker.

What a stunner! There is something special about a black on black early 911. Congrats on the find, she is a beauty.

    Best,
    Ravi

Beautiful car! Riverside was a famous racetrack east of Los Angeles. It was open from 1957-1989. Many of the most successful drivers of the day raced there.

Boy, is Rich on the money !!!! ....

I attended Riverside either spectating or helping in the pits from 1966 to just weeks before they tore it down in '89... A GREAT track !!!

...anyone know where the picture below was taken?
    Cracker,

I'd take a guess and say it was taken at the old Mar Monte Hotel in Santa Barbara CA. .....

Very close, Chuck...it was at the Biltmore Santa Barbara. She told me they were acting like "high huckers" - it was $180/night in '72!

Update: Seeing that I am 6'6" I decided I would benefit from a smaller steering wheel - the 420 is like a bus wheel! LOL. I was able to source an original RS/380 and it is gorgeous - it just arrived today from the Motherland. I also sprung for a pair of original Recaro S seats (basketweave centers) - both sides - they are in transit from Germany.

My question are seat tracks...seeing that I will be the only one driving this car - should I make custom mounts that lower my seat even further than the stock sliders? Does anyone make a "racing" application that would save me the hassle?

    Thanks for thoughts in advance...
