    Car Transporter: Single Car Trailer

Has anyone shipped using a service that has trailer that holds only one or 2 cars? Any recommendations?

+1 for Chris, he delivered a car and spare engine for me many years ago from New Mexico. He is phenomenal at backing his trailer into some pretty tight spots and was a great guy to deal with. I believe he used to work with Gary Emory.

I've used Exim three times and very pleased with each. Tell Danny what you need and they'll make it happen. One thing I really appreciate is their communication before and during the move, as well as online tracking.

I highly discourage anyone for using U-Ship with any car they care about. Here are not one but two horror stories we've seen come thought our shop because of U-shop, which is truly the wild west of car shipping.
First, I had a 356, the shipper saved $100 using U-ship instead of my carrier. The guy showed up in a converted motor home, full of furniture. He had double booked you see. He unloaded the furniture, loaded the car, then proceeded to re-load the furniture, on top and around the car.
Second, a guy booked U-Ship. The guy who showed up said he doesn't normally haul cars, he does ATV's. He said he about at least a dozen stops before he delivered the Porsche, so we would have to take it on and off every time, but that should be fine, right? Also, no winch, he would be using customer ATV's for loading and unloading.

Now Chris Ridgeway, top notch, he does all of Rod Emory's hauling, they are lifelong friends. He has picked up here many many times, always glad to see Chris because I know the car will be treated well.
