    Steering wheel question

Took this wheel off a car I am working on. It’s a 420mm with a 62 stamp. I am assuming 1962. So would this be a 356 wheel?

I think that would be February 1966.

Ok, so the earliest wheels have this type of stamp instead the later 3 digit stamp, such as. 2 73, meaning feb 73

That's correct, here is a NOS extended hub 420mm leather wheel dated '610' i.e. October 1966:

Interesting, it that Porsche must have had a fair amount of these extended hub wheels on the shelf. This wheel in my pic is on my 67 soft window that my brother ordered new and took delivery May 23rd 1967. It was on the shelf for exactly a year before it went on a car. Extended hub 420mm.
