    1969 911S Mechanical Fuel Injection issues?

    Motor rebuilt, the engine warm up and idle at 950 and then after I drove the car around 5 to 15 minutes then the idle stay at 1100 and never go back to 950. Does anyone know why the rpm is going up to 1100 and stay there and never go back to 950?

    There can be a multitude of answers here, for openers I'd say go back to the shop and ask them to set the hot idle to 1000 RPM, the cold idle will be lower and then slowly rise to 1000 RPM as the engine reaches operating temp. Other than that volumes have been written on MFI tuning, hopefully the answer is the simple one.

    I got my car back from Mayo Performance and Tom did an excellent of repaired on my car. I would highly recommend people to bring their car there to get it repair. I love to drive it now !!!!
