Just fantastic work…question re targa cover
I thought I read that the rear glass must be installed before the cover trim
Please advise of install sequence

Yes Frank.... You have it right...
what I am doing now is glorified inventory.
I wanted to get all of the parts and proper seals lined up.
Now that I have confirmed all lines up well, I will drill/clean screw hoes etc.
The cover is coming off for refinishing.
I am not sure if the sanding of 320 with a special wipe down of clear on the top is correct. It looks very good, but I would love to see what the original finish looked like
I know I could easily replicate..............

Here you go Frank...
First picture is of "a wear divot."caused by the removable top...
I used a small file to blend it away.
Second picture shows the small file and the divot totally removed. (file work only shone in this photo)
The third picture shows the beginning (I should have taken a picture sooner) Of the repair, scratches caused by the script being broken in two and leaving radial scratches, not very bad scratches.
I chose to sand these out with 320 grit, only took a few minutes......
The next picture shows the area repaired with 320 grit.
Final picture shows how new script looks.
So, these are "spot repairs" working only the areas of the damage.
The good news is that this stainless steel is relativel soft, and the work is easy.

my original bar cover had holes drilled in it and was painted.
The one i have now was previously refinished.
So, i do not have an example of how the brushed stainless steel looked.
But it is now sanded out perfectly with 320 and it looks great (what do I know)
For now I will keep it as is.
If I find that the original had more defined brushing I can easily put those scratches in this.
Sort of like it is a blank canvas, and maybe the blank canvase is the thing............
