    Recaro sport seats with rare stitch lines?

    First time I've seen pictures of Recaro sport seats with longitudinal pleats. Was this a factory option?

    I doubt it…most likely a non-period correct reupholstery job.

    My 73’ still had its original full tan leather interior.

    Yours Sure looks well age patina’d to match the rest of it. Is the leather dyed one side only ?
    I have seen the five/six pleat before on design studies and cars for internal usage so it does not mean you couldn’t have spec’d it for whatever reason.
    The carpet does however look replaced Judging by the binding colour. The original was a stronger taupe.

    I was just wondering if the pleats are original as I think it looks more classic. I would like to retrim my seats in this style.
