    Webasto heater repair

Who can repair a Webasto heater for me? I’m interested in getting a bunch of parts I purchased into good working condition.

    Thanks!

Franz (here “Moito”) might be able to help you and provide you also with the exhaust, muffler, insulation and retaining clips etc.

Thanks. Hopefully there is someone in the US. Shipping costs back and forth to Australia have gotten crazy.

Let's not turn this into a "who is best" thread. I have read through some threads that are very favorable to Moito. I'm looking for someone who can turn my bag of parts into a working system at hopefully a price I can afford. It's going into an SWB hot rod. I don't need perfect originality or anything special, just a good working system. If there are alternatives to the expensive factory or reproduction parts, I'm in.

To Franz his defense, Franz is a proud (outlaw) Austrian, citizen of an European country. Australia is “down under” to him, almost half of round the world and probably 24 hrs of travel.

There are modern electric (Webasto), simpeler units that are cheaper and work better than the old fuel original fuel Webasto system. They are often used in vintage rally cars. Google will be your help if all you want is an heating system.

Looks like you got parts from two systems. Missing a pipe I think. Franz sent me this diagram at one time. Wait until you see what the spark plugs costs. Will make shipping seem cheap.Name: webasto 66 ILLU (5).jpg

Yea, I might have to bail on this if it’s going to cost a lot.
