    '. . . 1967 Porsche 911S is one of 483 soft-window Targa examples built for the model year and was first owned by American rally driver John Buffum before being acquired by the second owner in the early 1970s. A cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment was completed in 2011, and the car was purchased by the current owner in 2019. Finished in Polo Red over black leatherette upholstery, the car is powered by a replacement 2.0-liter flat-six mated to a five-speed manual transaxle. Features include painted 15×4.5″” Fuchs alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a brushed stainless-steel Targa bar, Bosch fog lights, Koni shocks, dual Weber carburetors, a Nardi wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a factory AM/FM radio refurbished with an auxiliary jack. This 911S Targa is offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, a copy of the Kardex, a factory tool roll, manufacturer’s literature, service records, and a Washington State title branded Antique.

    During the refurbishment, the body was disassembled and placed on a rotisserie, stripped to bare metal, and refinished in Polo Red. Equipment includes a brushed stainless-steel targa bar, a black roof panel, Bosch H4 driving lights, a zip-down rear window, and a black boot cover . . .

    . . . cabin features seating surfaces that were reupholstered in black leatherette with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include fold-down rear seats, black and red Coco mats, and a refurbished push-button AM/FM radio with an auxiliary jack. The front seat headrests have been removed and are included in the sale.

    . . . wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation that was refurbished in 2010 and consists of a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer was reportedly reset to zero during the refurbishment and shows 1,500 miles, approximately 950 of which were added during current ownership . . .

    This car was in the Gooding Auction at Amelia Island in 2014. Someone had a paint meter that couldn't get readings on a few of the panels which isn't a good thing. Don't recall what happened to it but I wasn't impressed. YMMV
    This was the time when SWB soft window Targas were being chased hard.
