Perfectly appropriate that your hairstyle matches the year of the car. Obviously it was all meant to be.

congratulations on your find... will you do the restoration work yourself?
whether you do or not, posting pictures here is a very good way to enforce your commitment in a positive way...
it is impossible to take to many pictures
photo everything even the interior undercoating and insulations before taking apart...
    best of luck.

My plan is to get the car running to drive around town in its current condition. The exterior is not pretty but it is actually pretty structurally sound. My thought is that in a few years a restoration would take place. I love working on cars and whether I take on all or at least some of it will be based on the circumstances at the time. The plan is subject to change but that is generally what I am thinking.

I think the picture advice is good to hear. I tend to be moving so quickly that I forget to take them. I will use picture documentation as a way to force myself to slow down. Thamks

Well --- I always look forward to accounts like this . . .

    . . . and welcome aboard, Drew

And yes-yes --- do try to capture as much of your adventures, as you can . . . in photos and prose, and preferably all in one thread

You'll be surprised how quickly the time will pass

Great to see another one being saved. Very cool car and story. Odd lack of options on Kardex. Where was it originally sold?

Congratulations on catching your white whale, and for saving another '68s.

Looking forward to seeing how it progresses.

Right? It seems like it was optioned as basic as it could be. I looks like the original owner was in Germany based on the Kardex.
