I did this many years ago with 914 engine grill material. They stole my design! Haha. It's all been done before.

To get the stacks close to the dark color of the 69 ones what treatment would work. Would Cerakote work?

I have a set of 69 E/S throttle bodies available, pretty clean and functional, but could be used as cores if someone is looking to have a set restored as above....

If I can get the picture to upload I just did mine in cerakote graphite black. It is still drying so I'm not sure of final finish. The pic was taken a couple hours after spraying them

How is it applied? Or what kind of shop does this? Is it like an anodize application?
