Porsche Literature Collection 63-73 - It will be finally auctioned off

After 15 years collecting and assembling an unique „Porsche Literature Collection 63-73“ I finally decided to auction off the entire lot and selling all items, keeping just a few 1971 Model Year items, completing my car.

Over the years being a member on this board i had countless communications, messages and shares about these unique period documents, often the only true document indicating how these cars were ordered and built, sold and priced, being it color charts, accessories and equipment, pricing or advertising.

Some know there was a project to document it within a book authorized by the Porsche Company, but we finally were unable to finalise the project…here:https://www.early911sregistry.org/fo...iterature+book while another publication not supported by Porsche Archive was using many of my items without giving credits and with plenty of faults and being incomplete…it just shows how important probably were and are my items, some are world unique.

I finally decided to move on and part with my entire collection, to be sold and auction off on May 6/7 2022 by Ni-Cola Classics in Ladenburg https://www.nicola-ac.de/
Ill put up an update asap the catalogue is available online.

Some items were documented here on this website: http://ecurielyford.com/en/brochures/..and we also scanned all of for future (digital) reference, thanks to German member Haul.

It was fun to collect, fun to share and document…but as with most hobbies and interests, we move on and yes i do too.

Ill will continue to drive one of my Porsche Cars, going to car meetings while having a lighter heart and less stuff i need now to take care off, Cheers !

An amazing collection! The design of these brochures was amazing, embodies the period and the Porsche ethos so well.

Some of these brochures are impossible to find and generally speaking it has become a lot more difficult to find them.

Good luck with the sale Karim, it’s going to do very well!

Yes Far TOO well for me to consider buying it

Good luck with it Karim I hope it does extremely well but the pieces stay with someone, or people, who are as generous with sharing the information contained in this collection as you have been

Sad to see the break-up of the collection and to hear the book project came to nothing ... that's a real shame for our hobby.

Would love to get a copy of the catalogue from the sale to keep along side the Milou one in my very modest collection...

Good luck with the results, Karim!

    Thanks to all replys.

Yes, the Collection will go out and be splitted mostly in individual lots to be sold off...and I hope new owners will be able to complete their own literature and info sources.

Over the last two decades we were able to share valuable infos on this Early911sregistry board and hopefully it will continue to be available as the only official source, even the items now will be again in several hands and owners. My wish.
