Thread: Aluminum ducktail frame

  1. #1

    Aluminum ducktail frame

Anyone recognize this, came in with a car recently. The guy said it was the frame from a Factory Ducktail.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks-
    Adam

    Haul,

strongly recommend to ask the seller for a local pick up.
All parts I tried to buy from him, "had been sold" when I asked for a pick-up. ;-)

Apparently it does not have the holes for the latches and drain holes

Adams lid has a clearance bubble on the left side, the engine compartment light bracket in the center, and possibly no license light holes. I think its a later generation frame, but don't know what.

SCRS part?? Mucho Alloy used on that ride and the frame would be consistent with SC tooling.

I asked the seller about the stamping and else:
„….Hello, the spoiler has no Porsche marking, I bought it from a Porsche restorer near Stuttgart years ago for 3500 EUR, the company also works for the Porsche Museum. If I wanted to convert my vehicle into an RS clone, I have now refrained from this project. However, the spoiler comes from the old stock of the manufacturer who used to make the ducktails for Porsche….“
