FS: 914/6 GT lightweight rear view mirror

Having been informed by Russell Edmonds recently that these were not fitted to the 2.5 SRs, I have a very rare 914/6 GT lightweight rear view mirror for sale, generally in very good condition but the mirror glass is not 100% perfect after 50-odd years, but this doesn't impair visibility at all.

Same mirror as the early 914-4 & 914-6. Desirable but thousands of them were made.
A part isn't purchased until paid.

Nope. The larger one in the last photo is a standard 71-73 mirror for comparison purposes.

The early 914 mirror is easy to spot. It is very thin height wise. Later (I believe 73+), used a more typical shaped mirror with a taller viewing area. I've heard the early 914 mirror was also used on some 911 race cars because it's light, small and attaches to the glass.

The last picture posted shows a later mirror.

What he said. Just rebuilt and installed mine in my six. Yes light, yes thinner, but not rare.

Ok. I'll keep it then in that case. Might be useful one day.
